THE MOTHER of crash victim Tyrese Hannah has spoken of her grief at the loss of her only son.

She has described him as her "angel", saying he was a loving boy who would help others.

"He was my world and he filled it with love, laughter and life," said the 34-year-old.

Tyrese, seven, from the old Walcot area, was killed after a car collided with him in Drove Road on Friday evening.

For a full tribute see tomorrow's Swindon Advertiser.

Drove Road was a terrible tragedy like this waiting to happen. I have lost count of the number of near misses I have had on the crossings where drivers have come speeding round and gone through the lights on red. My thoughts are with this lovely childs family, may they find the strength to get through this.

The pain of a parent who has lost a child is immeasurable.

My thoughts go out to the family of Tyrese, may you somehow find just a moments respite in all that is to come.

This weekend I have thought so much about Tyrece's family and friends, I simply can not comprehend what they must be going through. How cruel life can be, to have your baby's life snatched away so quickly, so suddenly. I never knew Tyrece, but when I looked at his photograph, I saw a gorgeous little man, his smile so full of radiance and life. When I read more about him, it is with regret that I never got to meet him. In his short life, it is clear that little Tyrece has made an impression on so many and touched so many people. He is without a doubt a son to be proud of.

RIP
My daughter was in the same class as Tyrese, what a lovely little boy he was. I know he loved his new puppy, it's so tragic that taking him for a walk seems to have led to this.
