THEY say rabbits' feet are lucky and Swindon and District Animal Sanctuary has 108 of them - all attached to baby bunnies in need of a good home.
The 27 rabbits were given to the sanctuary by a Pinehurst woman who has been made bankrupt and could not afford to look after them. John Warwick, who runs the sanctuary, said: "She originally had four rabbits, three females and one male.
"One night the male was obviously feeling a bit amorous and chewed through the wire fence and got to the three females."
Between them the three rabbits gave birth to 23 babies, which are now aged 16 weeks.
"They are all nice and healthy and ready to go to a new home," said John.
"It just reminds you that bankruptcy affects all parts of life and sadly this lady just couldn't afford to look after them.
"And they aren't the only rabbits we are looking to re-home, we have a number of rabbits and other animals that need loving owners."
Anyone interested in offering the rabbits, or any other animals at the sanctuary, a home can get in touch with John on 07990 868887.
