A TURKISH catering company from Trowbridge is promising a feast fit for kings as part of its new venture.

A Sultan's Buffet or an Ottoman's Business Lunch are just some of the catering options offered by Turkish Delights Catering.

Owner Victoria Kisioglu, 33, of Crawley Crescent, spent four years in Turkey, where she met her husband Tarkan, 35, and discovered a love for Turkish cuisine. The mother-of-three said: "I started up just before Christmas. I'm hoping it is going to attract a lot of business people and parties that I can travel to."

The catering company, which is run from her home to bring Turkish cuisine to the customer, can provide anything from business lunches for groups of 10n to conferences and weddings for more than 100 people.

The menu ranges from Turkish meatballs, rice-filled vine leaves, spicy kebabs on skewers and a varied selection of cheese, pastries and breads. Turkish food is suitable for most diets, including vegetarians.

Mrs Kisioglu said: "There are a lot of vegetarian options. There are meze dishes that cater for vegetarians, like feta cheese and fresh parsley wrapped in filo pastry. There is lots of choice."

Until last year Mr and Mrs Kisioglu ran The Plume of Feathers pub in Shrewton, on Salisbury Plain, which is where they first started trying out Turkish dishes.

Locals seemed to enjoy the meze options in particular, which has since inspired them to take the Turkish option on full-time.

Mrs Kisioglu said: "It taught me to stick to what you are good at and what the customers like.

"Turkish food is not all just kebabs. It is delicious home cooked food with lots of choice."

Food for large events is prepared in their kitchen at home before being transported in refrigerated boxes and cooked on site.

Business lunches should preferably be organised 24 hours beforehand, or a week in advance for larger events.

Mrs Kisioglu said: "It is food for all types of outside events; rather than sausage rolls, why not try Turkish food?

"It is very child-friendly. They love the kofte Turkish meatballs."
