Folkfoot are best known for their film soundtrack work providing music on Morgan Spurlock's Academy Award winning Supersize Me and the about-to-be-released Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden which they recorded the title track for. The duo are Americana singer/songwriter Bill Kelly and blues singer/songwriter Michael Parrish. Bill has provided soundtracks as a solo artist for films like Subway Dreams, Ken Russell's Whore and the TV series Northern Exposure. Michael Parrish has recorded, toured and played alongside such legends as Buddy Guy, Sonny Rhodes and Guitar Gabriel. He produced one of Spurlock's early films. Folkfoot mixes up Americana and blues into a knee stomping party of rocking hillbilly bluegrass. The duo will be at Riff's Bar, Greatfield, Swindon, from 9pm on Sunday. 01793 778304. |

Lizzyspit is also playing acoustically for BBC Radio Swindon. She is currently working on her debut album and has won the notice of producers on BBC Radio One and Six. It is free entry to the gig. |

The legendary rock n' roller Bo Diddley took Hamilton Loomis under his wing when the guitarist was just 16 years of age. Hamilton grew up in Texas and became part of his family's doo-wap group. He sneaked back stage at a Bo Diddley gig to meet the main man and he ended up on stage playing with the prince of rock n' roll. On Wednesday April 23 Hamilton will be dropping into Riffs Bar, Greatfield near Hook from 9pm. |
